Continuity was appointed as consultant for the preparation of the Conservation Plan for the two nationally protected monuments, viz Currency Building and Metaclfe Hall by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
A detailed Conservation Plan was prepared for conservation, adaptive reuse and upgrading services of the Currency Building as a guidance document for the ASI to follow during implementation. It outlines a detailed documentation, historical research, condition survey, and a reuse plan with recommendation for conservation actions.
The columns of the entrance porch of Metcalfe Hall on Stand Road was leaning out, thereby creating stress and cracks on the roof of the porch of the building. Technical Conservation Advice was seeked by ASI. A detailed documentation and survey of the building and the entrance porch was undertaken; and a detailed conservation and repair methods and specifications were suggested and implemented accordingly by the ASI.
